1. Member or son/daughter of a member of the Assyrian Church of the East, Diocese of California (Mar Addai, Mar Gewargis, Mar Narsai, Mar Yosip, or Mar Zaia)

2. Enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or four-year university in the 2021/2022 academic year

3. Obtain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

4. Senior standing in High School or accepted to an accredited college or four-year university

2. Two letters of recommendation

3. Proof of acceptance into (or enrollment in) an accredited college or four-year university 

4. Personal Statement of 500 words.

   • Prompt: Our faith is often tested during trials. Please write a minimum of 500 words to describe how the pandemic has affected your faith and relationship with God. 

     • Brainstorming/Questions to ask yourself: 

       • Have you drawn nearer to God by putting in extra effort to watch mass online, read the Bible, and/or complete Bible plans, or have you drifted as a result of church closures and lack of fellowship?

       • Have circumstances (e.g. fear, anxiety, school closures, lifestyle adjustments) shifted your focus towards yourself or caused you to rely fully on God?

       • What have you learned this past year and what are ways you can continue to feed your faith?

     • Actions to take:

       • Clearly answer the prompt

       • Provide examples to support your statement

       • Check for grammatical and spelling errors
